The Project
The project aims to contribute to the creation and consolidation of microfinance to facilitate the access to the different services provided by reducing the incidence of financial exclusion phenomenon. The work program provides for the creation of training models that can be replicated in similar situations, the best practice simulation models, models of guidance and assistance to the spread of microfinance services for the dissemination of successful experiences.
The project is part of the cooperation programs aimed at enhancing human capital, bottom-up economic development and the fight against poverty.
The project was carried out by researchers from the CEMAS (Center for Research Cooperation with Eurasia, the Mediterranean and Sub-Saharan Africa, Sapienza University, Rome) in collaboration with ALTIS (Postgraduate School Business & Society of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore of Milan), Uganda Martyrs University, Caritas International and Caritas Uganda and the no-profit counseling center for entrepreneurship training FinAfrica.
The project takes also benefit by the co-financing from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs-DGCS and it’s currently followed by the Italian Cooperation for Development Agency.
